When possible you should try and get your meat and produce from local sources. I know this is not always possible depending on where you live but if you can you should really try to. The food industry is a mess nowadays. So many chemicals and hormones are being pumped into our foods. This is seriously affecting humans and is kind of going unnoticed.
Besides the health benefits, it is nice to support local farms. It might be a little pricer than the supermarket but it is worth it for your health and well being! When possible, try and eat organic foods as well. Even local farms can spray their crop with pesticides. Although normally not as bad as the big chain places.
Meat is a big one that you should be getting local. The environment in which the animals are raised are extremely better. They aren’t cramped in a little stall not even being able to walk.
